Judge RIPS Mom After Pitbull Killed Her Baby

Alyssa Smith was in court for her sentencing hearing, and the state played body camera footage from officers. Smith pleaded guilty to a charge of endangering children after their pitbull attacked and killed their 6-month-old child. The judge told Smith that he was not happy she took a plea in this case, and if he could sentence her to more than three years behind bars, he would. He went on to say that Smith’s reckless conduct resulted in an avoidable death. She shed tears after the judge read her sentence of 36 months for the death of her child.
