No Rain, More Work | Irrigation, Livestock Feeding e.t.c.

Welcome back to the farm! In today's video, I start by carrying Napier grass, chopping it with the chaff cutter and feeding the cows, rabbits and sheep. We also prepare vegetable orders before heading to the farm for irrigation. With the dry season here, I make the long walk to the dam to switch on the irrigation pump, return to the farm to water several plots, and later walk back again to switch the pump off. The day continues with lunchtime milking, delivering milk to the dairy sacco, collecting fresh weeds for the rabbits, evening feeding, and the final milking session before storing the milk in the fridge. Dry season farming means more irrigation, more walking and more work, but the farm must keep going.
