YTR's case came to light after his family received a message from an unknown person on the evening of June 10, 2026. The message stated that the victim was in the emergency room at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) Bandung, reportedly having been involved in an accident. According to the family, YTR had known Taufik since 2023 after meeting at a music concert in the Tritan Point area of ​​Bandung. After that, the victim gradually distanced herself from her family and stopped returning home regularly from her workplace in the Pasteur area. For years, the family received information that YTR ​​had quit her job in Bandung and moved to Jakarta. This information was later discovered to be part of a scheme allegedly orchestrated by Taufik to cover up his actions. The victim was allegedly held captive for approximately three years and regularly moved from one boarding room to another. During this time, the victim's communication with her family was unusual, and she was allegedly under pressure from the perpetrator. The family had shared information about her missing person on social media. However, the victim, who was allegedly still under the perpetrator's control, later requested that the post be deleted. The family and medical personnel's suspicions were strengthened after they visited the RSHS and found numerous old wounds on the victim's body that did not correspond to the accident report.
