As Três Revoluções Igualitárias - Prof. MS. André Melo - II Jornada de Estudos: Arte e Antiarte

In this lecture, Professor André Melo presents the historical and philosophical context of inequality and hierarchy in creation, contrasting them with the error of modern egalitarianism. The presentation details the three fundamental characteristics that structure the ruptures of Christian civilization: the Protestant Reformation, the French Revolution, and the Communist Revolution, which range from the denial of papal authority and the rise of political secularism to the absolute flattening of the economy and property. Finally, the lecture highlights the incompatibilities of these ideas with the Catholic faith, evidencing the danger of socialism and reaffirming the beauty of the divine order expressed in the singularity of salvation in Our Lord Jesus Christ. This lecture was part of the II Flos Carmeli Study Conference, which addressed the theme 'Art & Anti-art: the revolution in aesthetics'. The event, held on April 17th and 18th, 2026 at the Santa Escolástica Study Center (CESE) in São Paulo, sought to recover the foundations of true Catholic art as a reflection of divine transcendentals. By contrasting classical and sacred beauty with the deliberate rupture and metaphysical revolt expressed in Modern Art, the lectures offered a unique opportunity to understand the contemporary cultural crisis and reaffirm traditional aesthetics as a path to elevation and praise of God. Lecture recorded on April 17, 2026. 📚 Access this link to join the VIP WhatsApp Community: https://chat.whatsapp.com/JPKcXVoS61d...
