They were transported by JR Freight as a special freight train to another railway rolling stock manufacturer, Nippon Sharyo Manufacturing Toyokawa Plant, located in Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture. There, six cars were newly manufactured as part of a joint production, and the top number E1 formation of the eight-car pre-production basic set was delivered in mid-April and then transferred to its assigned location for test runs. Recently, test runs have been conducted over short sections in the Nagoya area at night, and have been repeated many times. Has it now taken the next step?
