Detroit Drag Queens Jennifer Foxx, Michelle St. James & Cocoline in 1988
Bob Bruno (Jennifer Foxx), Michael Canterbury (Michelle St. James) and Jerry Billingsley (Cocoline) interviewed and performing on WXYZ-TV's morning show "Kelly & Company" in 1984. In the video montage before the interview Doreen LaMarr performs Judy Garland at the Pink Flamingo. i was one of the show's producers and had enjoyed drag performances at two of Detroit's gay clubs, Menjo's and The Pink Flamingo in the 80's so i invited them to perform on one of our episodes. I saved this footage on an old VHS tape in my basement all these years and finally got around to digitizing it so that I could share it with others who remember Detroit's drag scene in the '80s as fondly as I do.
