How to make Twisted Cording for Needlepoint ornaments or craft projects
Hi guys - quick video to show you my method for making twisted cord out of 2 colors of DMC floss. Just to recap: take the DMC floss, unravel it, double it over 3 times. You should have about 1 yard of floss now that is 8 strands thick. Do that again with your second color (you can use more than 2 if you want, but you'll probably not want to use it 8 strands thick). Then tie both colors together at the non-loopy end, hang it somewhere, twist it to the right (with drill and cup hook or by hand). Twist the 2nd color. Then tape the threads together at the bottom and turn them together in the other direction.
