Wild Bivvy Camping on Chesil Beach. SWCP Westbay To Portland Dorset.

Chesil Beach, after bottling it while doing the south Dorset Ridgeway nearly two years ago i finally get back to have a crack. The shingle beach is 29 kilometres (18 mi) long, 200 metres (660 ft) wide and 15 metres (50 ft) high. But i start at Westbay and also do the Portland Coast path so about 45 miles in total A challenging trip but enjoyed every mile and probably the best camp so far. The distant lightening storm thankfully moved away from the beach, or i could have been in trouble. Perfect sunset and rise along with a full moon made this such a special walk.
