It's a solitary Camino with few pilgrims, the opposite of the Camino Francés. Although the infrastructure has improved in recent years, it requires more initiative in planning and securing accommodation and provisions than the more popular Camino routes. For experienced pilgrims seeking solitude and tranquility, this is the perfect Camino. In Part 1, I walk from Valencia, the pearl of the Spanish Mediterranean coast, past orange, lemon, and olive groves to La Font de la Figuera.
