In her talk, Paula Drozdowska explores the idea that the biggest obstacle on the way to things that seem out of reach isn't a lack of opportunity, but waiting until we feel fully ready. Drawing on her own path as a space architect - from uncertain first steps in the industry, through learning unfamiliar terminology and studying late into the night, to eventually joining a project for NASA - she shows that real change doesn't come from one big decision, but from a series of small, consistent steps taken despite fear and a sense of not knowing enough. Drozdowska emphasizes that young people today have access to global projects and professional communities as early as their student years - and all they really need is the courage to ask and start, before they feel ready. Graduate Researcher at the University of Houston and the NASA MIRO IDEAS Center. She specializes in space architecture and designing habitats for future manned missions. She coordinated the preparation and execution of simulated space missions at the LunAres Analog Research Station and commanded the "Perseus" analog mission, where she was responsible for the team and project management.
