Artemis 3 May Not Be As Ready As It Looks
Most people think Artemis 3 is almost ready. The rocket exists. Orion already flew around the Moon. Astronauts are training. But Artemis 3 does not depend on one spacecraft working. It depends on multiple systems — developed separately, launched separately, and still not fully proven together. From SpaceX’s Starship Human Landing System to orbital refueling, docking, and mission timing, Artemis may be testing something much bigger than a lunar landing: Whether a multi-system Moon architecture actually works. Because the real challenge may no longer be reaching the Moon. It may be getting independent systems to work together in sequence.
