First Time In A Yurt - Glamping At Caalm Camp Dorset

That’s right, we stayed in a Mongolian Yurt in the English countryside. We were glamping at Caalm Camp Shaftesbury in Dorset. As we prefer hotels to tents we were not too sure about staying in a Yurt. However they were far more comfortable than expected. As you can see they have ‘proper’ beds with cotton sheets, electricity and lights, WiFi and they were warm with no sign of damp. Also, you don’t have to share facilities. You get your own wet room supplied with towels for the duration of your stay. We wanted to see if glamping was a comfortable option rather than staying in country hotel and surprisingly, it was. There were proper cooking facilities provided but we chose to eat in the local pubs which were pretty good. We tried the Kings Arms and The Ship Inn both under a 10 minute drive away.
