Steps for Solving a System of Linear Equations Using SUBSTITUTION | HSA.REI.C.6 🖤

In this video lesson we will learn the Steps for Solving a System of Linear Equations Using Substitution. We will discover that Step 1 is to identify if one of the two equations is either solved for x or y. If not, we will solve for either x or y. We will then substitute the expression that is y= or x= to solve for one of the variables. We will use this solution in either of the original equations to solve for the other variable. We will represent our solution as an ordered pair. We will also check our solution to be sure it is true for both given equations. Student practice is embedded in the lesson with modeled exemplar solutions.
