El Reino Olvidado que Dio Origen a España: La Historia de los Reyes Godos y la Creación de España

In this documentary, we explore the history of the Visigothic Kingdom, one of the most decisive and often overlooked periods in the historical formation of Spain. After the fall of the Western Roman Empire, the Visigoths established a powerful kingdom on the Iberian Peninsula with its capital in Toledo, where they developed political institutions, laws, and administrative structures that would profoundly influence the region's subsequent history. We analyze the role of the Visigothic kings, the religious unification between the Visigoths and the Hispano-Roman population, the creation of the Liber Iudiciorum (Book of Judgments), and the emergence of a political identity that some historians consider one of the earliest precursors to the concept of Spain. We also explore the kingdom's internal tensions and the events that led to its fall following the Muslim invasion in 711, an event that would radically transform the destiny of the Iberian Peninsula.
