"Soul talk"/Dialog with international scientist, manasologust Dr.James Kingsley Plumtree

James Plumtree received his PhD from Central European University, Budapest. From 2017, his research has mainly focused on Kyrgyz-language metrical narratives concerning Manas. While an assistant professor at the American University of Central Asia, he co-founded the Analyzing Kyrgyz Narratives Research Group that recorded, studied, and made available modern oral performances as transcripts («Манастын төрөлүшү» эпизоду түрдүү варианттарда) and audiovisual recordings (https://catalog.archivum.org/catalog/.... His English-language academic articles on its history, context, and textualization were recently published in Kyrgyz in the single volume «Манас» эпосуна тиешелүү изилдөөлөргө жаңыча илимий сереп (1856-2018).
