Snowden Horseshoe-Scrambling in Snowdonia

Helene and I went to Snowdonia to scramble as many routes as possible in a 5 day period during May 2022. Helene spent 15 years as a Shepherdess in French mountains, but her first experience of climbing was 12 months ago at the age of 60, when we first met. Her first climb was outdoors, she was hooked, and continues to climb indoors in London. What we didn’t know, was how well she could adapt to exposure and overcome her fear of heights in the mountains of Snowdonia. She was amazing, it just shows you how one can overcome fears if you voluntarily face them. The weather was not kind to us in the available 5 days, but we managed to do 4 scrambles. Eps.1.
