The BorikenSpharad Ladino Music Project is a research project devoted to restore, reconcile, and revive the historical Caribbean and Hispanic American connections to the Sephardic heritage passed along by many of our Crypto-Jewish ancestors through music, language, and traditions. “Music and language is a powerful source of historical information, one that is able to uncover that which history in itself has not been able to tell”. Arleen Elysheva Ramírez I am happy to share with you that I am currently working on this research project as part of my doctoral dissertation with the Cultural Studies program from Ana G. Méndez University of Puerto Rico. This journey has been both a tremendous challenge and a huge blessing. It has been planted in my heart with a tremendous prophetic burden.
