Atlantis II - Atari 2600 - Retro Classics
Atlantis II for the Atari 2600 is one of the rarest and most valuable video games in history, created strictly as a tournament tie-breaker cartridge. In 1982, the developer Imagic ran a "Defend Atlantis" competition. However, too many expert players maxed out the original game's score counter. To determine the true winners, Imagic quickly coded a brutally difficult version, named it Atlantis II, and mailed it exclusively to the top-scoring contestants.
