The Car Rig Mic Comparison - DPA 6060 vs 4018 & 4097

We rigged a DPA 6060 & DPA 4018 super cardioid in the visor of a car to hear the difference at our DPA / URSA Mic Tech Workshop at BBC StudioWorks in Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We recommend wearing headphones 🎧 it’s pretty hard to hear any difference on laptop or phone speakers! Both mics sounded great, the 4018 has a richer sound with a wider pickup but the little 6060 held up really well and super flexible when combined with the URSA WireRig. We also compared the ‪@DPAmicrophones‬ 4097 Gooseneck Mic to the DPA 4018. The gooseneck really punches through with directionality which gives it a tonal difference compared to the 4018. Each mic is useful to have depending on your situation. Which is your favourite?
