💻 BMW F82 M4 Competition – Full Tuning Breakdown: Engine & Gearbox! ⚙️🔥 (Dyno test at 1:00 min!) We’ve taken this BMW M4 Competition through a full tuning process — from baseline dyno runs and software calibration to a powerful Stage 1 remap and Stage 3 gearbox tuning. Here’s how it all unfolded: First up, we put the car on the dyno to check its stock performance. BMW claims 444 HP, and it delivered 445.9 HP — bang on! A solid baseline, but we knew it had more to give. We then carried out a Stage 1 ECU remap, adjusting boost, timing, and fuelling to improve performance, throttle response, and engine efficiency. The result? 📈 Over 505 HP, peaking at 519.8 HP on the dyno, and a massive 696.5 Nm of torque. That’s a serious leap from stock power! 💨 With that much extra torque, the DCT7 gearbox needed recalibrating too. The stock software wasn’t designed to manage this new performance level. That’s where XHP tuning comes in. The engine tune was finished — now it was time to sort the gearbox. When you increase torque, shift points and load handling change. We installed a Stage 3 gearbox map via XHP, which sharpens shifts, improves timing, and ensures the DCT7 handles the power effectively. It’s all managed through an app, and fully adjustable to the driver’s style. With the gearbox software installed, we hit the road for testing. The M4 now shifts faster and more crisply, with much better torque handling — but we don’t stop there... We road-test it with the customer to get real feedback. If anything feels off — too aggressive, too soft — we fine-tune it live.
