Mockingbird - Harry Potter

Plot Summary (AU - Alternate Universe): Harry went to live with Remus instead of his aunt and Sirius gets released from prison a year before Harry starts attending Hogwarts. At first everything is okay with Remus and Harry happy to have Sirius and Sirius glad to be free. Unfortunately, Sirius tires quickly of playing house and becomes depressed over James's death even more. Remus and Sirius begin to argue more and Harry begins spending more and more of the summer holiday with Hermione. Remus leaves, finally tired of Sirius's threats to take Harry away as he has more legal right than Remus. Remus is offered a chance to advocate global werewolf rights in the States and he jumps at the opportunity. Harry becomes depressed with Remus gone and Sirius getting in trouble with wizarding law. Remus is unable to leave the campaign but writes letters constantly to Harry. Harry is slightly cheered when Remus comes to visit during Easter break, but the following summer is hell as Sirius loses control of his resentment and envy of Remus. Remus returns and convinces Sirius to let Harry spend the rest of the summer with him and Remus promises not to leave again.
