"Time Waits For No One" - Isolated Guitars
A truly masterful arrangement by the Stones guitarists here. Sometimes the traditional synthesizer overdubbed by Mick Taylor creeps into the right channel, but otherwise it's a pretty clean example of the isolated guitars. Taylor said he played his main guitar part (including the solo) live during basic tracking. What we are left with is a remarkable performance and the guitarist's favorite contribution to the band during his tenure. Notice the octave-down guitar overdubs around 3:30. Taylor mentions doing this with an EMS Hi-Fli guitar synthesizer. Keith Richards used the same device for his own electric guitar track.
