The Battle of Shanghai (淞沪会战), fought in 1937, was one of the largest and bloodiest battles of the entire Anti-Japanese War. For three intense months, millions of soldiers clashed along the muddy banks of the Yangtze and Huangpu Rivers, defending the city block by block.
