Two Rocks to Wilbinga: Sand Dunes, 4WDing… and Getting Super Bogged | Mitsubishi Triton off-road

Join me on a full off-road mission in my 2020 MR Triton GLX+, heading an hour north of Perth to the coastal town of Two Rocks before tackling some of Western Australia’s best sand dunes. The adventure kicks off at Sovereign Park, where I drop the tyres and hit the dunes before pushing on through Wilbinga Dunes 2 and Wilbinga Dunes 1. With perfect weather, soft sand and endless tracks, the Triton gets a proper workout. As the sun sets, I set up camp out in the dunes and fire up the camp oven to cook pizzas—yes, pizzas in the bush! One of the best ways to end a long day of 4WDing. Day two gets a little more interesting… I attempt to reach the Moore River Inlet, but the sand gets unbelievably soft and I end up extremely bogged. After a solid recovery effort (and a lot of digging), I eventually get myself free and decide to backtrack all the way to Sovereign Park to wrap up the trip. If you enjoy 4WD adventures, recoveries, camp cooking, and exploring WA’s coastline, you’ll love this one. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more Triton missions!
