How to make the sounds from SNAP! 'Rhythm Is a Dancer' with DRC

Eurodance is not dead! Born at the tailend of the 80s, Eurodance broke through and invaded 90s electronic music with its punchy beats taking over the DJ booths and dance floors of European clubs and beyond. A ‘four on the floor’ thumping kick, anywhere between 90 and 150 BPM, often featuring a female soulful vocal and a male rap as two key ingredients, whenever you hear a Eurodance track it’s easy to see why this genre of music reached its peak in the 90s. Germany was one of the pioneering countries that helped shaped the sound of Eurodance, and today we are featuring one of their finest exports; the group ‘Snap!’. Snap! was formed by german producers Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti, who worked with a number of guest vocalists to produce some all-time classic dance anthems. One of the earliest collaborations was with Penny Ford, the American singer who catapulted the song 'The Power' (1990) to the top of the charts around the world, selling millions. Then two years later with Thea Austin on vocals, they co-wrote and released 'Rhythm is a Dancer' (1992). Sampling ‘Automan’ by the hip-hop band Newcleus, ‘Rhythm is a Dancer' climbed the charts reaching number one in several countries like Germany, UK and France.
