Full Train Ride: Utah's Salt Flats to Elko, NV on Amtrak's legendary California Zephyr

It's time for another adventure on the California Zephyr, the most scenic Amtrak route of them all. Our train experienced lengthy delays, which lets us see part of the route in daylight! Today's train is led by a Union Pacific locomotive after issues departing Denver. We start in the middle of the salt flats, about 75 miles west of Salt Lake City and travel all the way to the station in Elko, Nevada. Along the way, wrap around Arnold Loop, go right through the Pequop Mountains via mile-long Hogan's Tunnel and soak in endless scenery. Enjoy the ride!
