🚫 Controlled by restricted setting Android fix

Starting with Android 13, sideloaded apps (installed via APK) have certain permissions blocked—like accessibility, notification access, and usage data access—that are normally available when installed from the Play Store. In this video, I show you how to bypass the "controlled by restricted setting" issue for the "permit access app usage data" permission. While many tutorials suggest finding the "allow restricted access" option in the app settings, this isn't available on all devices—especially custom launchers or non-Pixel phones. I demonstrate the easiest workaround: using SAI (Split APKs Installer)—a free, open-source, and safe tool—to sideload the app instead of the default file manager. After reinstalling through SAI, the restricted setting disappears, and you can enable the permission normally. No ADB or root required!
