The beginning of a short series about restoring yet another victim of the scrap yard and my own hands. It came about, as often happens, completely spontaneously. I'd been eyeing machine tools for sale for a while, perplexed by the ever-increasing prices. And then, suddenly, I noticed this completely unremarkable machine, clearly taken from the scrap yard for resale. But as I studied the specifications and features, I became increasingly perplexed. A price tag that wouldn't even buy a 675-mm milling machine that was more or less functional, and it was located in the nearest town. Ultimately, I couldn't hold it out for even a week—I arranged a viewing. As it turned out, the machine looked much worse in the initial photos than in reality. In my opinion, the choice was obvious. The machine was incomplete, battered, and rusty, just the way everyone likes it. However, the incompleteness is only evident in the missing motors and electrics (and, naturally, a bunch of other small parts). Do you think it would be suitable as a replacement for the NGF?
