Councilman Diego Nasato (NOVO) advocated for greater investment in urban maintenance services and stated that the population expects solutions to basic municipal needs. He highlighted that the Municipal Secretariat for Urban Conservation and Maintenance needs more resources to expand its services. The councilman cited requests for cleaning ditches and waterways in different areas of the city to reduce problems caused by rain. He also suggested a review of the budget policy to strengthen maintenance services. He then advocated for changes in legislation to expand the public authorities' responsibility for sidewalk maintenance. According to him, the city should act in a complementary way to the obligations of property owners to guarantee safety and accessibility. He stated that improving urban cleanliness can bring benefits to the population's quality of life. Finally, he said that residents of more remote areas need a greater presence of public authorities and investments in infrastructure and maintenance.
