Fort San Pedro, Cebu City- is a military defense structure in Cebu and was built under the leadership of Miguel Lopez de Legaspi-the first Governor-General in the Philippines equivalent to Philippines president in the present. Originally it was made of wood but replaced to stone in 1738 for stronger defense against muslim raiders. The fort is in triangular shape with two sides facing the sea and the other two are facing the land. The fort is safeguarded by 14 cannons. Today, it is a combination of a park and a museum where tourists can grasp the history of the Philippines. The entrance fee is just for 25 Php. It is just a short-walk to Sto.Niño chuch and Colon street.
