37,000 doses of hepatitis B vaccine

More than 37,000 doses of hepatitis B vaccine for free vaccinations have been distributed to regions across Ukraine. The vaccines have been distributed among 23 regional Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Kyiv City Center for Disease Control and Prevention for free vaccination of adults in medical facilities. The country received 37,500 doses of hepatitis B vaccine as part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the humanitarian organization Project HOPE Polska. Children in Ukraine are vaccinated against ten dangerous diseases, including hepatitis B. Adults can be vaccinated on the recommendation of a doctor. According to the Public Health Center, as of July 1, 2025, 5,590 Ukrainians, including 125 children, were receiving treatment for viral hepatitis B. This delivery was made as part of a joint project between the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and Project HOPE Polska, aimed at strengthening immunoprophylaxis and protecting the population from infectious diseases.
