The second aspect is the Product-based Planning Technique, and this is likely different from what you are familiar with in the past, so it needs your close attention! Within PRINCE2, it is the PRODUCTS (deliverables if you will), that are identified FIRST, and only then, 'reverse-engineering' the products to determine their activities. Get familiar with what constitutes a 'product' verses what an 'activity/task' is...Having said that, in PRINCE2 all plans are documents that have other key information included, so make sure you know the structure of a typical plan and the different plan levels. Be clear about which roles are responsible. I have included the Plan template. This same template is used for all three levels of plan - Project Plan, Stage Plan and the optional Team Plan. Do get familiar with the type of content that goes under each heading within the document and the part where product-based planning takes in its creation.
