How to Fix GO PRO's Not Enough Power Message
In this video we share how we recommend updating your GoPro if you are receiving the "Not Enough Power" prompt when trying to use external USB power. Also, please find the detailed steps below: From your Computer or Laptop: Step 1: Go to GoPro Labs Scroll down and click on the "Get Started" button. Step 2: Once there, find the "How to Install and Use GoPro Labs Firmware" section and click on "Download the GoPro Labs Firmware" link, from there you'll click on the "GoPro Hero 12 Black" link and download the zip file. Step 3: Once downloaded, find it in your download folder, unzip it, locate, copy and paste the entire "UPDATE" folder into your Micro SD Card with your GoPro 12. Step 4: Remove the SD Card from your Computer or Laptop and insert the SD Card into your GoPro 12 and power it on using a GoPro battery. From your GoPro 12: Step 5: Once your GoPro is powered on it should recognize the updated firmware automatically and update itself. Once it's finished updating it will restart itself. Once it restarts itself go ahead and shut it back off for now. From your Smartphone: Step 6: You'll need to download the QRControl app from your iPhone or Android Smartphone. It's free to download and use. Step 7: Once you've downloaded the QRControl app and opened it, you'll want to find the "Extras" option across the top (to find it you'll want to scroll right across the top). Step 8: Once in the Extras section, tap the dropdown menu under "Feature FourCC" find and select "TUSB". This QR code stands for Trust USB Power. Make sure the Permanent check box is selected beneath the drop down. The QR code that it displays can then be saved to your camera photos. From your Smartphone and GoPro 12: Step 9: Begin by pulling up the saved photo of the QR code you saved to your smartphone Step 10: Next, turn your GoPro 12 on using a GoPro battery. Step 11: Position the QR code in front of the GoPro camera. You'll see a checkmark displayed on your GoPro screen letting you know it's been updated. Step 12: Restart your GoPro and you should receive a message each time now on the screen that TUSB has been activated. Once you've completed the steps above, you'll be able to use external power with no problem. Questions on any of the products showcased?
