El Corredor Vial Bioceánico ya tiene 106 kilómetros de ruta asfaltada y señalizada

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) announced that, two months ahead of schedule, section 5 of the Bioceanic Route in the Loma Plata area of ​​Boquerón is now open. This section adds another 14 kilometers to the project, which currently comprises 106 kilometers of paved and signposted road. This stretch also includes two wildlife crossings along the corridor. These structures, located at various points along the corridor, allow different species of small, medium, and large vertebrate mammals to safely cross from one forest section to another. This project is being carried out by the Bioceanic Road Corridor Consortium (Queiroz Galvão SA and Ocho A) under a turnkey contract, with an investment of approximately USD 445 million. Once the route is completed in all its stages, it will connect the most important seaports of both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans and will generate an additional 2,500 jobs, as well as countless opportunities for the towns of the Paraguayan Chaco.
