Un mouillage bondé… presque vide 😳 (le paradis ?). VLOG 117

An anchorage known for being crowded… almost empty 😳 And very quickly, you understand why it attracts so many sailors. So, is it really paradise for sailors? 👉 It all depends on what you're looking for… We're going to enjoy it… but also do some repairs! ⚓ Welcome to real life on a sailboat, between minor mishaps and incredible moments. We're in Musket Cove, on Malolo Island in the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji… and surprise: barely fifteen boats in this huge anchorage. One of those places where boats are crammed together, a bit like Taïna in Tahiti, Taiohae in the Marquesas, or Sainte-Anne in Martinique… The hurricane season has begun 🌪️ and we're enjoying this incredible place… almost to ourselves. But behind the picture-postcard scenery lies the reality of the boat ⚙️ Pumping water out of the bilge… again and again. A small leak at the rudder bearing—nothing alarming, but enough to remind us that we'll have to deal with it when the boat is out of the water. And then there's… the toilet 😬 A universal, unavoidable issue 😂 Tom takes everything apart, replaces almost everything… except for THE part that's leaking 💦 Result: we close the through-hull fitting and use the other toilet. Luckily we have two… even if it also means twice the problems 😅 And for a little anecdote… I fell into the hole 😂 (not the toilet hole… the bilge hole) Then we set course for Mana Island, passing through a narrow channel with coral just under the keel… impressive! And then the real goal: snorkeling 🤿 Incredible marine life, surreal landscapes… Since Tonga, I've been carrying a pain between my ribs. I know I should take a break… But here, it's impossible to resist. So I dive back in. Again. And again. Observing, filming, waiting for the right moment… I spent hours in the water! Because that's what life on a sailboat is all about: 👉 little everyday problems… and right next to them, moments of incredible beauty.
