Recently Opened Egyptian Tombs. What's inside?

Let’s explore the least known tombs of the nobles in Luxor. You’ve probably never heard of them as some have just recently been discovered! Their owners - high officials of the New Kingdom period (16th to 11th centuries BC) - decorated their eternal dwellings in the most spectacular way. Come with me to the deserted village of Qurnet Murai and let’s get to know more about the Nubians inside the tomb of Amenhotep known as Huy (TT40), take a look at rare images of Amenhotep III and Mentuhotep II inside the Ameneminet’s burial structure (TT277), and let’s learn about the sacred sycamore tree in the tomb of Amenemhab (TT278). Then we will explore the necropolis of Dra' Abu el-Naga' where the colors inside the tomb of Roy (TT255) will blow your mind, trust me! 🙂 Inside the newly discovered tomb of Shedsu-Djehuty (which hasn’t been opened for visitors yet) you will learn about the tombs from the Middle Kingdom. Our journey will end inside the tomb of Djehuty (TT11), which during my visit in February 2023 had been opened for visitors only two or three days earlier so you’ll have a rare opportunity to venture through the newly reconstructed, never filmed on YouTube with such a details, the burial of ancient Egyptian noble.
