Goode” and “Sweet Little Sixteen” as well as “Great Balls Of Fire” by Jerry Lee Lewis and Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Love Stuck Baby” are essential listening to help prepare our ears for this unique rock 'n' roll sound. Rock 'n' roll and the blues are close cousins, sharing a lot of harmonic properties, such as three chord, 12 bar song structures, dominant 7th tonality and double stops.
