Welcome to Keonjhar Diaries Episode 7 ❤️ After completing our journey from Dandadhar Dam, we reached my friend’s farm house in Telkoi and stayed there for the night. The very next morning, around 5 AM, we started another journey — not towards a tourist destination, but towards a hidden reality deep inside the hills of Telkoi. This episode takes you into the life of the Hill Bhuiyan (Paudi Bhuiyan) tribal community of Keonjhar, Odisha. Crossing rough hill roads and remote forest paths, we reached a tribal village where life is still far away from many basic facilities. We spent time interacting with the villagers, listening to their stories, struggles and emotions. They shared how their community was rehabilitated from the upper hill regions to lower areas by government authorities, and how they are trying to adjust to a new life while still holding onto their culture, traditions and identity. Through conversations with the women and villagers, we tried to understand: their daily struggles education problems healthcare challenges lack of proper roads and facilities survival in remote hill areas and the reality behind their smiles This vlog is not made to show poverty. It is made to show reality. Even after facing so many hardships, the simplicity, strength and humanity of the Hill Bhuiyan community is truly inspiring. We believe such communities deserve better support, better education, healthcare and basic facilities for a better future.
