Oak Street Bootmaker’s Mill Boot (Unboxing) | Red Wing Iron Ranger Killer?

Oak Street's site https://oakstreetbootmakers.com/?ktk=... Before unboxing these I wasn’t extremely excited or hopeful. I felt relatively unassuming and open minded. But the minute I took them out of the box and saw the silhouette and pattern in person I was quickly overcome with a childlike giddiness. Are these boots really $350? (they’re on sale for even less as of this writing) The pattern and feel reminds me of the best parts of the classic Chippewa original line boots that I personally love. They’ll most likely get stacked against Red Wing’s iconic iron ranger. I’m guilty of that in this very title. But the truth is they’re a very different boot. Paying homage and pulling influences from a different variety of classic American service, officer, and work boots. On sizing: I rarely discuss sizing because it’s so subjective and carries wildly from person to person. However, these definitely run closer to your branock device, or true to size. Some people with wider or higher volume feet, or who prefer a roomier fit might even decide to size up. Heck some of you might even size up a whole size from your branock. I prefer a tighter fit and went a half size down from my average U.S. sneaker size. But PLEASE don’t listen to me on sizing as I’m quite different than many as far as the fit I like.
