I Built a Euro Nymphing Rod… Then Took It Trout Fishing

In this video I test a Euro nymphing rod that I built myself from a kit and take it onto the River Don to see how it performs. The rod is the Fortitude Rod Co, FRC Union Elite, ESN 10'6" 2 weight Mono Rig kit. But this isn’t just a rod review. Along the way I share my approach to Euro nymphing, including how I read the river, where I look for trout, how I choose my targets and the small details that help make this style of fly fishing so effective. Euro nymphing is all about staying connected to the fly, understanding current, and finding the areas where trout are feeding.
