Canadian and UAE Trade Ministers mark economic agreement – July 24, 2026
Maninder Sidhu (Canada’s international trade minister) and Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi (the United Arab Emirates' foreign trade minister) hold a news conference in Toronto to mark the successful conclusion of negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries. They take questions on relations between those countries and the United States, possible investments in Canadian projects by the UAE private sector, the future of oil production in the UAE, and other topics.
