Test Beta RR Racing 300 2024; l'enduro 2 tempi a doppia candela

It's the flagship of the Beta range. For years, it has competed for the top spot in the enduro market with the KTM 300 EXC, and in 2023, they're still fighting it out. This is a tangible sign of appreciation, fueled by a series of technical choices that have positioned the Beta 300 2-stroke enduro as a winning bike, not only in the World Championship, with Holcombe first and then Freeman. But despite this success, the Rignano sull'Arno factory has continued to evolve it year after year, even modifying important and, above all, fundamental components. For example, the engine; the 300 2-stroke displacement is standardized with a bore x stroke ratio of 72 x 72 mm, around which all manufacturers have built their bikes. Although the Beta engine was the most popular for its delivery, power, and usability, two years ago it underwent a complete overhaul, with the ratio changed in favor of a shorter stroke, resulting in a displacement of 292.6 cc through a 73 x 69.9 mm displacement. This solution was designed to further increase the engine's tractability; mission accomplished. The 2024 model year saw a further step forward, with targeted interventions not only to the engine but also to the chassis, which had already been improved last year with the introduction of the Kayaba monoshock paired with the 48 mm closed-cartridge fork. The main upgrade of the 2024 RR Racing 300 is undoubtedly the introduction of a second spark plug on the cylinder head, powered by an additional, independent coil, aimed at optimizing combustion. While not a groundbreaking technical solution (it was already used years ago on some models), Beta is the only two-stroke motorcycle manufacturer on the market to utilize twin spark plug combustion, in addition to its short-stroke architecture. The rest of the engine features an electric-only starter, a hydraulic clutch with a cup spring, a 6-speed gearbox, an FMF exhaust with a BPV valve, and, of course, a 36 mm Keihin PWK carburetor. The chassis upgrade includes a new frame with a 1 cm thicker steel central beam, resulting in a revised lower tie rod. The subframe remains two-component. Among the major upgrades is the introduction of new radiators with a profile that takes into account the fork clearance when moving the handlebars, with the aim of increasing the turning radius, one of the weak points of previous models. Other key details include a transparent 9.5-liter fuel tank and brakes that combine Nissin systems with 260/240 Galfer discs, with the rear using a redesigned master cylinder. As a true racing machine, it boasts a rich kit of special parts, including a quick-release front wheel axle, reinforced handguards, Ergal footpegs, a two-piece rear sprocket, a racing seat with a pocket, black anodized gear shift lever and rear brake lever, a red Ergal chain tensioner, and new racing graphics, with plenty of blue coloring not only the air intakes but also the entire front end. #beta #rrracing300 #enduro ------- Subscribe to our channel to see all our Motorcycling and Off-Road Motorcycling videos: https://bit.ly/34DmphS Follow us on social media: FACEBOOK Motorcycling:   / motociclismo.it   Off-Road Motorcycling:   / motociclismofuoristrada   Vintage Motorcycling:   / motociclismodepoca   INSTAGRAM Motorcycling:   / motociclismoit   Off-Road Motorcycling:   / motociclismo_fuoristrada   ------- Subscribe to our channel to see all our Motorcycling and Off-Road Motorcycling videos: https://bit.ly/34DmphS Follow us on social media: FACEBOOK Motorcycling:   / motociclismo.it   Off-Road Motorcycling:   / motociclismofuoristrada   Vintage Motorcycling:   / motociclismodepoca   INSTAGRAM Motorcycling:   / motociclismoit   Off-Road Motorcycling:   / motociclismo_fuoristrada
