Congratulations to Father Filipus Bimo Perbowo, MSF, for his first Mass at Ratu Rosari Catholic Church in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, which was held with great enthusiasm last Sunday following his official ordination on July 14th in Yogyakarta. The first Mass for this young pastor from Generation Z was packed with people, especially hundreds of young Catholics (OMK) from Jagakarsa who attended with extraordinary energy to welcome and support his new mission. In this exclusive vlog interview, Father Bimo shares the unique, touching, and inspiring story of his vocation. Who would have thought that the seeds of his holy calling were nurtured early at home, where from childhood he was accustomed to leading prayers among his family. This strong foundation of faith was further reinforced by a deeply ingrained childhood memory: he often had the task of picking up the priest from his church! Amazed by the priest he had picked up as a child, his life has now come full circle. From a small child welcoming the priest, Father Bimo himself now stands at the altar to offer the Eucharist and bless the congregation.
