From Soil to LECA 🌱 Converting My Monstera Deliciosa

In this video, I continue the journey from my Live unpotting of a massive Monstera deliciosa that had 5 plants in a single pot. 🌿 One of those plants is now starting a new life in LECA (lightweight expanded clay aggregate)! ✨ What you’ll learn in this video: • Soil roots vs. water roots: Soil roots are built for oxygen-rich soil environments, while water roots adapt to constant moisture. Successful transition requires patience as the plant develops specialized water roots. • Water levels matter: Keeping the water just below the root zone encourages new water roots to grow while reducing the risk of rot. • Reducing algae growth: Use opaque containers, refresh water regularly, and avoid excess nutrients at the start. Transitioning from soil to LECA can seem intimidating, but with the right setup, your Monstera will thrive in its new semi-hydroponic home. 🌱 🔗 Missed the full Live unpotting?
