10 min flexibility routine for higher kicks. This is an effective stretch routine is great for all levels. Follow along with me as we go through different stretching exercises to help us get higher kicks, improve overall athletic performance, aid in muscle recovery and more. This stretch routine is only 10 minutes and we will be going through 14 different stretching exercises. We will be focusing more on static stretching for this particular routine. Static stretching is a form of stretching in which you focus on getting in a particular position and holding it for a set time. You essentially allow gravity to take control as you passively hold the set position. Anywhere from 15 to 45 seconds if great for holding your stretched position. However, 60 seconds is also great for those really tight area. Stretching regularly is great for improving blood flow throughout the body in which will help with muscle recovery, performance and studies even show it will help with the aging process. Muscles are compiled of different protein and filaments. Moreover, the protein elastin is the most abundant protein in the body. This stretch like protein will lose its elasticity (stretchy ability) over time as we age but if you stretch regularly it greatly helps with maintaining the structural integrity of this protein. So, be sure to stretch regularly. This stretch routine will help you get into different positions and be a great format for you guys to follow.
