To hike to the summit, you must hire a local tour guide, as this is a rule established by Ilhabela State Park. The trail is approximately 7 km round trip, and the journey takes 3 to 6 hours, depending on your hiking pace. In this video, I show you what the Baepí Peak trail is like, the challenges, and give tips on what to bring and how to proceed on this wonderful trail. On this hike, I went with my Insta360 camera and my friend Matheus Costato, a photographer who took incredible photos. We got up at 5:30 a.m. (You can tell by my sleepy face at the beginning of the video, right?) We started the trail around 7:00 a.m. and were back at Baepí Viewpoint by 2:00 p.m. By the way, the Baepí Viewpoint is a super nice spot for those who want a lighter, faster hike.
