Installing Heat in Our Off-Grid Cabin

Installing the Dickinson Newport P9000 propane heater in our newest off-grid bunkie cabin build here at BigCat Ranch! In this video I walk through the full install process inside our 200 sq ft tiny cabin — from drilling through the roof and building a custom vent support bracket, to hooking up propane, testing the fan system, and firing the heater up for the very first time. This install definitely had a few “learn as you go” moments, especially working off-grid and trying to make things work with the tools and materials on hand. I also talk about venting, pipe length, elevation concerns, and why I chose to modify the standard setup for a cleaner cabin look. The cabin is really starting to come together now with solar power, a simple 12V electrical system, and cozy heat for cold mountain nights. This bunkie is being built as part of our off-grid campground and rental cabin project here on the ranch. Thanks for following along on the journey. More cabin builds, homestead projects, and off-grid adventures coming soon from BigCat Ranch. #OffGridCabin #TinyCabin #DickinsonNewport #NewportP9000 #CabinBuild #OffGridLiving #TinyHouse #PropaneHeater #HomesteadLife #DIYCabin #BunkieBuild #SolarCabin #OffGridHeat #CabinLife #BigCatRanch 📬 Business Inquiries For partnerships, reviews, or sponsorships, contact: 📧 [email protected] ✨ Thank You Thanks for supporting our ranch journey.
