My Best Attempt at EMBAR Only - Marksman on Tomb - Gears 5 Master Horde Frenzy

"Look at how they massacred my boy." In Gears of War 4, the Embar was such a great weapon for Sniper. Combine the damage of Mark Boost and Magic Bullet? You had three headshots in one magazine, and it was a machine! In Gears 5, the Embar was nerfed in damage and I think it might have gotten a slightly longer charge time. Because of that, it's purely been a secondary weapon to the Longshot for most Marksman. HOWEVER, TC put all these cards in for the Embar and I gave it my best shot. We tried a match on Embar and a few things became clear: 1) Icy Precision barely works on it. You'll get most enemies frosted over, but never fully frozen until you have to reload and that's the biggest killer. Markza ends up being your go-to for freezing. 2) Critical Parade works really well early, but then falls off when you aren't one-shotting as much as you'd like to. And so I went with as standard-kill of a build as I could, throwing the most tools I could at just the simple concept of Sniping. No explosive headshots, no extended X-Rays, just the Embar and all the support it could get. It's not THAT bad...but then the night after I went back to the Longshot and OOF the Longshot is better lol.
