Flight from Prestwick 18.08.24
Flight with an instructor from Prestwick International Airport on 18th August 2024. The objective was to fly round Arran. It was quite windy and I learned a lot about mountain flying and having to consider the effect of the wind (which was basically Westerly). We flew to the Northern tip of Arran, down the West coast then across to Culzean. The reason for not circumnavigating the island was the very real prospect of strong turbulence and downdrafts on the Eastern side. Very early days editing the output from the new Insta360 camera and combining it with (i) footage from the GoPro and (ii) music. A truly memorable flight and I can heartily recommend Prestwick Flight Centre who looked after me very well.
