A Conversation with FUTURA2000
Commemorating the exhibition ‘Futura Akari’ (November 11, 2020–April 25, 2021) at The Noguchi Museum, artist FUTURA2000 joins Dakin Hart, Senior Curator, for an informal conversation and walkthrough of the installation. ‘Futura Akari’ presents a group of Akari light sculptures designed by Isamu Noguchi from 1952–86 and hand painted by FUTURA2000 in 2020. It also includes two cosmic paintings by Futura in aerosol on canvas, one of which, ‘El Diablo,’ is a classic work from 1985. noguchi.org/futura-akari CREDITS Filmed on location at The Noguchi Museum, New York Produced by Ager Meillier Films Inc.
